If you disagree with a claim decision, EAC can help you decide whether or not to appeal and how to prepare and present appeal submissions. EAC will provide information about the claim decision and policy that can help to either resolve the issue or to provide you advice on how to present your position.
EAC is not an employer advocacy service. WCB industry specialists will provide consultation but will not act on your behalf in the claim management or appeal process.
In order to access the service the following criteria must be met:
- Consultation is provided for specific claims decisions that can be referenced in a letter from WCB. Consultation will not be provided for account premium issues and general claim reviews looking for potential appeals or cost relief.
- The decision you are requesting consultation on cannot be more than 12 months old.
- There cannot be an employer claims representative authorized to act on your behalf.
- If you have general questions about the appeals process, you can submit your question by email.
