This workshop is designed for supervisors, human resources staff and health and safety specialists working in industries like manufacturing, construction, hospitality, health care and food processing. Labour intensive industries often involve repetitive movement and working in awkward positions. This workshop will teach you how to address these concerns, reduce discomfort and minimize the frequency of injury. The strategies you will learn can easily be applied in your workplace.

You will learn how to:
  • Identify a potential risk before an injury happens.
  • Analyze the risk and determine a solution using easy-to-understand assessment tools.
  • Adapt job tasks to workers’ physical abilities.
  • Teach your staff how to do their jobs safely to reduce the risk of injury.

A small group session will enhance your understanding of basic ergonomic tools through case studies, videos, pictures and best practices.
