Other payment options:
1. Pre-authorized debit
If you sign up for pre-authorized debit (PAD), your payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the invoice due date or next business day. Monthly instalments can be requested. To sign up for pre-authorized debit, log in or sign up for myWCB to register or fill out the debit authorization form and mail or fax it to us with a void cheque.
2. Visa Debit or Debit MasterCard
Make a payment directly from your bank account using Visa Debit or Debit MasterCard 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
3. Visa or MasterCard
Pay online using Visa or MasterCard 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
4. Telephone
Pay by phone during business hours (8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday) by calling our contact centre.
5. Authorized Canadian financial institution
Electronic or telephone banking
You can pay your premium using your personal computer or telephone through an authorized financial institution, trust company or credit union in Canada. This option is set up directly with your bank—you just need to select Workers' Compensation Board – Alberta as the payee.
Payment via bank counters or ATM machines
You can pay your premium at any financial institution in Canada, but you must include the tear-off stub from the first page of your invoice.
Note: Please allow five business days for your payment to be applied to your WCB account.
6. Mail
A pre-addressed envelope is included with each invoice that has a balance owing. Enclose the tear-off stub from the first page of your invoice with your cheque or money order. If you do not have the invoice stub, please make sure your WCB account number is written on your cheque or money order. Please send your payment to our premium payments mailbox.
There is a minimum $200 premium charged on each WCB-Alberta account per calendar year.
