We are active on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and YouTube. These Terms of Use apply to you when you communicate with WCB-Alberta through these social media websites. Please read them carefully.

What you can expect from us

We strive to post informative content that helps Albertans understand their workers’ compensation system and supports a safe and timely return to work. This may include links to more detailed information and resources, like our website, when required.

We post content regularly throughout the week at varying times. Our accounts are monitored between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

We do our best to respond to all questions by the end of the next business day, but it may take some time. If you require an immediate response, please call us at 1-866-922-9221.

User content and commenting policy

We maintain an inclusive, diverse and respectful work environment, free of discrimination and harassment. We also maintain a safe and respectful online community. We moderate posts and reserve the right to hide, remove or report content that:

  • is abusive, defamatory or obscene,
  • is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading,
  • is non-constructive or repetitive,
  • contains spam,
  • violates someone’s privacy,
  • violates any law or regulation, or
  • is otherwise offensive or degrading.

If you post offensive content (including comments, pictures, video or links to offensive material online) we will remind you of our Social Media Terms of Use and let you know such behaviour is unacceptable. If you continue to post inappropriate content we may remove you from our page.

The views expressed by others represent their own views and are not endorsed or approved by us, nor do we endorse or approve any events or other activities posted by a user.

We respect your privacy

The information you post is available to the public. Please be careful with your personal information. Do not post personal or confidential information about yourself or anyone else.

We may ask for your claim number and current phone number through private message so we may reach you to discuss your concerns. If you do not know your claim number we may ask you for additional information in order to verify your identity.

We understand you may feel uncomfortable sharing information about your claim online. If you prefer not to provide this information over the internet, you can give us a call at 1-866-922-9221.

We reserve the right to supplement, remove or modify our Social Media Terms of Use at any time, with or without notice. Please check this page regularly for any changes. If you access our social media pages, you are deemed to have accepted the Terms and Conditions in place at the time of access.
